Inspired by reflections from the tree canopy onto water. The tree was originally a photograph cut out and placed onto a printmaking screen with gold ink. The background is made of two hand painted images also put onto screens with rich blue and green ink added.

I imagine this beautiful tree is the guardian of the forest and its beauty lures you in to explore and hopefully find more magic in the forest.

Location: Rowberrow Warren in between ancient woodland and alongside the stream. On the day there was thick mist and strong rays of light breaking through.

Technique: Photograph, gold sgraffito painting and Monoprint layered together digitally.

Inspired by the feeling of tranquility when immersed in nature. Water and ancient forest are my happy place and this was photographed in Rowberrow Warren.

Technique: Two digital photographs combined. One of the wide angle scene and the other of the ripples of the water.

The final print also has hand embellished gold paint to enhance the structures of the piece and add to the feeling of dappled light and sparks of light reflected from the stream.

Monoprint inspired by local Hedgerows. I have changed the colours of the piece to richer blues to reflect my love of Cyanotypes.
